Graduate StudentsStudent Resources

Current graduate students are encouraged to meet with an advisor to discuss any questions regarding program curriculum, schedule or any other student service needs, and to take advantage of our career services offerings.

The Graduate School at VCU also provides a wealth of resources to assist in academic and research development.

Request an override

If you’re unable to register for a class due to a restriction message, you can request an override. This option is available to students in graduate business programs or students in other VCU graduate programs wishing to take a graduate business class.

Requesting an override indicates that you have satisfied the course’s prerequisite requirement. If you do not meet the prerequisite requirement, you will not receive an override or risk being removed from the course at a later date.

Computer requirements

Entering graduate students should have access to a laptop computer that meets VCU’s required laptop specifications. MS-Office Professional Plus is the standard software package used in the School of Business. Certain courses may require additional software, which will be listed in the course syllabus.

Scholarships

Currently enrolled graduate students can take advantage of our graduate scholarship opportunities.

Graduation Application

Students should apply for graduation at the beginning of the semester in which all requirements will be completed.
